"Trent Parke was recently invited to be a nominee in the prestigious Magnum Photo Agency. He is the first Australian to be represented by the agency. Over his ten-year career in photo journalism, Parke has won numerous national and international awards including five Gold Lenses from the International Olympic Committee, and World Press Photo Awards in 1999 (for Bathurst Mountain Car Races) and in 2000 (for The Seventh Wave). In 2003, he was awarded the W. Eugene Smith Grant/Award for his series Minutes To Midnight.
