A district of London will vanish. Because mostly those people live there that are penni - and powerless, this process is unstoppable. The Olympic stadium will be erected there and Stephen Gill is the one photographer to document the life and times of those that will have to resettle. Already the markings of the future destruction have been made, the land is being prepared for transformation. Like Danny Lyon in Manhattan Gill cares and does all he can to save the most by all visual means of a district.
