Chargesheimer im Zoo
Fotografien aus den fünfziger Jahren
HC, 23,5 x 30 cm., 120 pp.
Cologne native and photographer Chargesheimer, best known for documenting the lives of society's artists, actors, and other costume-wearers, took a left turn in the 1950's and went to the zoo. He took some invaluable photos of the place's many unique residents, from hippos to tigers to ostriches, and then also of visitors and employees interacting, enthusiastically or awkwardly, with them. Some refreshingly light but unforgettable numbers by one of Cologne's best-known photographers.
