"Alongside the more famous photos, curator Martin Parr chose vintage black-and-white material from the 1950s to the `80s, including some printed by Van der Elsken himself which have never been published or exhibited before. Parr also selected colour photos taken in the 1980s. Much of the vintage material bears Van der Elsken?s unmistakable signature - literally even, in the notes and comments that he made on the actual prints." Foam -
