A leading figure within the Japanese post war photographic revival, the name of Yutaka Takanashi is often listed along with other influential names such as Daido Moriyama and Eikho Hosoe. This handsome reprint presents recent work taken since 2001, reproduced here in single page colour spreads, and continues Takanashi's examination and documentation of the built environment. Comes accompanied with a small insert with a series of black and white photographs, carrying the title "Windscape".
Yutaka Takanashi, geboren 1935, arbeitete in den frühen 60er Jahren als Mode- und Werbefotograf. Er veröffentlichte mehrere Bücher, unter ihnen "The Tokyoites" (1966) und "Toward the City" (1974). Er erhielt 1967 den Fifth Biennale de Paris Grand Prix for Photography. Yutaka Takanashi lebt in Tokyo.
