Porto with its distinct traces of the Middle Ages, the walled city of Obidos, the fishing village of Nazare, the Roman ruins of Evora, Kikai's snapshots provide refreshing views of the richly human towns of Portugal and the everyday lives of their people.

Photographed in Malta:
One of the smallest countries in the world, Malta is home to some 380,000 people living in an area around half the size of Awaji Island in Japan. Wandering through the maze of its city streets, the photographer makes contact with its people, their city and the timeless flow of their lives.
