Invited by the Museum of Modern Art in Sao Paolo in Brazilia, Rinko Kawauchi, initially to photograph the japanese immigrants there, she went three times and the work has in the end become broader, succumbing to the beauty of a visually rich country. And happily she came back and made a book, which tells of joys and fears, mangos and crocodiles, and let´s us enter in to the visual cosmos of a photographer we love.
