Letztes Jahr verteilte Stephen Gill Wegwerf-Kameras an alle Postboten, die sich an seinem Projekt beteiligen wollten. Das Buch zeigt Bilder aus dem Arbeitsalltag der Postboten, irgendwo zwischen Charles Bukowski und James Herriot, mit viel Charme und Leben.
Writer and broadcaster Jon Ronson, who wrote Unseen UK's witty introduction, says: "It's a book full of funny, sad, warm and surprising moments: moments that would usually be dismissed as too insignificant to be worth immortalising."
Celebrated photographer Stephen Gill, who had the difficult task of whittling down the selection of 20,000 photographs, adds: "The images have been created for different reasons. Sometimes they feel like a bit of a complaint, or a sigh of joy at the simple beauty of something."
